VACATION WITH CHILDREN AT LAKE STARNBERG

For families, a short vacation at the lake also offers numerous opportunities to spend a few nice days. We have put together some alternatives for you and hope you enjoy trying them out.

Playgrounds
Tutzing: At the Brahmspromenade
The playground in Tutzing is located directly on the lake and is therefore one of the most beautiful places for outdoor play in Bavaria. Here you should definitely take bathing suits.

Starnberg: Southern lake promenade
The playground is in very good condition and also close to the lake
The children will find here, among other things, a slide, climbing equipment, seesaws and much more.

Summer/winter toboggan run
On the Blomberg near Bad Tölz, there is a toboggan run that has it all: the Blomberg Flitzer. You can speed down the track here with your children at up to 40km/h. Of course, you can go slower if you like. For children over the age of eight there is the possibility to ride alone. Those who are younger have to share the toboggan with mom or dad. This route is passable even in wet weather, as well as in summer and winter.

Hours of operation: open daily approx. 10:00 – 17:00
Year-round operation (summer + winter)

The Blomberg Classic is one of the longest summer toboggan runs in Europe. 1286 meters, idyllic mountain forest, lush alpine meadows, 41 chicanes and 17 steep turns provide fun and action. A comfortable double chairlift or a short hike lead to the start.

Operating hours: daily in dry weather approx. 9:00 – 16:00 (high season until 18:00)

Bird park Olching
The bird park Olching inspires children and adults with a variety of different bird species. From buzzards and owls to bouquets and budgies from all over the world: with this variety, everyone will find their favorite. The attraction is located only about 40min from Starnberg and is open on Sundays and holidays from April to October from 10am to 5pm.

BAD WEATHER

Indoor swimming pool
Even when it rains, your kids don’t have to miss out on splashing in the water. There is a lot for kids to discover here. And while the offspring have fun on the slide or the diving boards, the parents enjoy relaxing moments in the bubble pool or in one of our three solariums.
